Nancy provides in depth services to schools and school districts related to literacy, equity and access to instruction and content to increase learning of all students, Balanced Literacy and ELD.  She helps districts implement high quality reading and writing instruction, as well as helps districts implement effective literacy instruction K-12. She works with districts to implement high quality professional learning for one or two days or for school-year long residencies. Nancy is also an SPP TAP provider.

When Nancy  provides professional development for schools and districts she provides a customized format or presentation for your school’s or organization’s specific needs.  For classroom or school based programs she includes intensive work (with an intensive start and follow up coaching) and long term work (different supports spread out over several days). Nancy works with you to create the plan that works best for your needs.

Online and Blended Instruction       Using online teaching to enhance face-to-face teaching, or teaching completely online takes an understanding of effective online environments. Online teaching is more than uploading documents for students to interact with, it is about creating a virtual learning world with a human touch.

Reading, Writing & Thinking Supports for All       Thousands of students have told Nancy what works best for them to learn to read, write and think. Student voices provide ideas for teaching. Tips and strategies for purposeful, connected comprehension and writing strategies are shared that work for students of color and poverty.
